The piece is structured as a sixteen-measure percussion
figure that is repeated sixteen times to make a 256-measure composition.
Two identical copies of the percussion part are overlaid
with one played at 240 beats per minute and the other played at
239 beats per minute. In addition, two identical
128-measure keyboard parts are overlaid with the
first played at 240 beats per minute, repeated once,
and the other played at 120 beats per minute.
The visual transcription can be followed as a score to see the complex patterns generated by the interacting elements of the musical composition.
